Qualities to See While Hiring

So the question is what qualities to see in an individual while hiring.

The quality that matters to me the most is that the person needs to be coachable. That person needs to be somebody who is willing to learn

Let’s say there are two people.

Let’s suppose person number one is high on talent. I mean, it also depends on the kind of job profile that you are looking for.

So if it is something which is like a really expert level job, for example, you need a developer, of course, you are going to look for people who are good classy developers.

But for other kinds of job profiles in which the person can be trained, I would look for people who are highly coachable.

So if there are two people, number one, who is highly talented, but who is stubborn enough that he knows everything. But the other person who is a little less talented but is ready to be molded into something bigger, I would hire this particular person.

I will give you an example over here.

Recently we hired somebody for an internship, whose name is Siddhant. We hired him for designing the templates for FlexiFunnels on an internship.

Before I posted the internship, he had never used any Landing page builder in his life.

So, on the same day, he made a free trial account on software, and within the deadline which was midnight, he submitted his application.

Along with that he sent his landing page link and wrote that he had never made any page before that. He added that he saw my application at 6 PM, immediately made an account, and had sent as much as he could make by that time.

That page was not good, honest. But the effort was there. The intent was there. The second thing is the intent of the person. So that intent needs to be there.

That intent needs to be at the top-notch level, because the person who has the massive level of intent to do the great things, that person ends up doing great things. Right? So if the intent is there, I would say quality number two.

I mean, these are the two most important qualities.

So coachable and with the right intent. These are the most important things.

I also did some scoring on the Excel sheet where all the applications were listed. The third scoring that I did was based on whether that person has done some sort of self-investment or not.

So these are the 3 things that I look for in a person while hiring.
